Free Rdp Serial Port Redirection Software
FreeRDP is a free remote desktop protocol library and. Serial ports Redirection. This original issue was meant for the migration of serial port redirection.
Pulling my hair out with this one. I have a Server 2012 R2 box with Remote Desktop Services running on it. I've also configured a RemoteApp program which needs COM ports redirected (a RS232 Scale for weighing trucks). I can't for the life of me get COM ports, USB or other PnP devices redirected through the session.
I don't even get an error about the COM port redirection in the event logs but I do get an error for the USB/PnP devices. Here is the error: TRUXSERVER 36 Warning Microsoft-Windows-TerminalServices-ServerUSBDevices Microsoft-Windows-TerminalServices-ServerUSBDevices/Admin 4/26/2016 10:30:41 AM Redirection of additional supported devices is disabled by policy. I did some research on the issue and found that the only two things that could be blocking the redirection are a group policy explicitly denying it (none configured on the DC or RDS box) or the settings in the Session Manager. Here is a screencap of the settings for my RDS Session Host: I've tried to connect using the regular mstsc.exe method and triple checked that 'Ports' and Other supported PnP devices.' Were checked under the 'More. Brooksmith By Henry James Pdf. ' Section of the RDP client.
I did install the RDS Gateway service which probably doesn't have to be on the box. The clients are all connecting first through a Meraki VPN and authenticating to Active Directory and then using a local RemoteApp feed.
Could the RDS Gateway (and NPS service) be blocking the redirection? Citizen Aqualand Ii Jp1010 00e Manual Arts on this page. I checked the policy on NPS and it is allowing all devices (TSG-Redirection). Plus, when a client connects to the RDS box the NPS doesn't even log the connection so I would think the policies aren't even being checked. Anyway, this might be something dead simple but I just can't see the solution.
Hopefully a couple thousand sets of extra eyes can help me out:) Edit: I've also ran this command in Powershell (elevated as Admin): Set-RDSessionCollectionConfiguration –CollectionName 'QuickSessionCollection' –CustomRdpProperty “redirectcomports:i:1” It didn't return any errors so my guess is that in applied correctly. Nesterj Nes Emulator 1 11 PSP. I read on a forum that this command is supposed to 'Enable Serial port redirection Server 2012 R2 globally'.
