I played w/ an S45 today (considering buying one - unless you tell me the S50 is going to be w/i $50 street price). I'm very interested in the quality of the manual mode of a digital camera. When in this mode, I could not find a light meter on the display. It only showed the aperature and the shutter speed. Even peeked through the menus. Pst Repair Tool With Crack here. Can anyone confirm if the S45 has a light meter, so I can see the predicted exposure level when setting the shot up?? I did find exposure compensation for P, Av, and Tv. Corso Di Francese Pdf here.
Without a light meter, the manual mode would be fairly useless! Full Manual Exposure In this mode you select the aperture and the shutter speed from any combination of the above. Left and right arrows select shutter speed, up and down arrows select aperture. When you half-press the shutter release the camera meters the scene and displays a numeric indication of how far over or underexposed the image is (compared to its metering). This value is in EV's (exposure value / stops), if the exposure is under or overexposed by more than 2 EV's the camera simply displays -2 or +2 in red. During the half-press the LCD view changes to reflect the approximate look of the final image.

During the half-press the LCD view changes to reflect the approximate look of the final image. Correct - I usually set it to Av initially to get a rough idea of what I want to set M to. Only 1 click of the dial away. You can either use exposure bracketing or pick any of Tv, Av, P mode and do the exposure compensation.
If you don't want to do any of those things then you can use Photoshop later to do your exposure tweaking. All help greatly appreciated. Don't think the manuals are out on the net yet (there have been some topics about this before so you can always do a search). I wouldn't let that keep her/him from buying the cam if he/she are ok with the guarantee issues that is. You can look at the s30/40 manual in the meantime. It shouldn't be to different.
